We create the first A energy rating certificated shop in Andalusia
The first store to obtain the A energy rating certificate in Andalusia is a store with efficient installations carried out by Efficshop.
Efficshop was in charge of carrying out a study and development of performances needed to achieve higher energy efficiency at Massimo Dutti store which is located in the commercial center La Cañada in Marbella.
The store has undergone a large restructuring and extension of its facilities, increasing from 460 m² to 720m² of sales area. This means an increase of 57% of the sales surface after the reform has been carried out..
In the energy efficiency study carried out by Efficshop in cooperation with Massimo Dutti’s architecture department, the initial phase consisted on a study of air conditioning and lighting systems, they studied as well the thermal insulation of the store. After carrying out these works on lighting, heating and cooling installations and thermal insulation of the premises, we managed to achieve an A energy rating certificate for this store, the most efficient one.
This is the first A energy rating certificate of a building granted in Andalusia to new facilities for sales purposes . It has been granted by the Regional Authority of Innovation, Science and Business of the Junta de Andalucía, the public entity in charged of carried out the register of energy rating certificates in the region.

The real data controlled by our monitoring system and contrasted with the electricity bills of the shop confirms that
- we have achieved a 64% reduction of energy consumption (KWH)
- we have achieved a 59% reduction of energy costs (Euros)
Monitoring and control systems designed by Efficshop, allows Massimo Dutti monitoring energy consumption, power, temperature and air quality of the shop. This permits the client to achieve an optimal energy management of the shop, keeping lower energy consumption while the whole shop´s lifetime as well as a proper maintenance management.
